Presented by Allen Levy, PhD, LCSW, NcPsyA, GGP; Dayna R. Snell, LCSW, and Jeanna Spatta, LCSW

Clinical Social Workers come from a long and historically significant profession which has substantially contributed to the betterment of humanity for almost 150 years. Yet, in these modern times social workers in general and specifically clinical social workers have never faced greater obstacles to their work as helping and healing professionals. In this workshop we will take a clear look at six of the major present-day obstacles to clinical social work practice. We will also explore how to resolve each and every one of these obstacles in a precise and effective manner.

  • Attendees will be able to better manage their clinical social practice both in the agency setting and in the private practice setting.
  • Attendees will be able to self-advocate for improved payments from insurance companies.
  • Attendees will be able to understand and explore deepening awareness of their own self as a helping and healing agent for the people they work with.
  • Attendees will be able to advocate for improved working relationships with insurance companies and government agencies that regulate insurance companies in search of improved payments both to the provider and those served
